A part of the OACCT's Public Policy efforts for 2012 is for volunteers from the Public Policy committee attend both City and County meetings and report back on items that are of interest/concern to business.
1. They passed a Charter Amendment to conform with the dates for adoption of the budget with the dates as prescribed by State Statute.
2. Mark Fritsch - OPU General Manager showed a power point presentation on the proposed Re-Use or Re-Purpose of the Power Plant. They decided to renovate the existing facility rather than build a new one.
3. Budget - they approved $30,652.63 to Owatonna Ford for a new vehicle for Animal Control and $23,349.81 to Yocum Oil for fuel and $218,000.00 for Other Expenses.

5. Bremer Bank's new site in the Truth Hardware parking lot was approved.
